While out running errands last week I popped in for a haircut.  After the lady finished I gave it a glance in the mirror, thanked her, and paid the bill. 

Feeling the hunger pains which most acquire while getting a trim I decided to walk down the strip mall to get a sandwich.  About four stores down I looked in the reflection of a window and much to my amazement I saw this…….

Are you kidding me?  Look at that chunk missing from my side-burn!!  I didn’t see it before I left….but you can’t tell me the lady didn’t catch that when it happened or even after the fact.

So a little embarrassed about my appearance I continued on and bought a sandwich, and much to the disgust of Luke Perry and Jason Priestley I returned home to find some clippers for immediate follicle correction.

Thanks for swingin’ by my blog.  Enjoy the sunshine while it lasts!!

Check these bad boys out!!  I dropped in to JOE’S for their going out of business clearance sale and walked away with these sweet new Seahawks shoes.

The conversation at the register went something like this:

Cashier - How you doing today?

Me - Good.

Cashier - Wow!!  I think in all the time I’ve worked here this is the first time that I’ve actually seen somebody buy a pair of these!!

Despite the combination of amazement and sarcasm from the cashier…….look for me at Hawks games in the fall…..I’ll be the guy rockin’ the sweet new kicks!!

The swine flu is at the center of attention this week.  The good news is that there is a new product for you who have had this thought go through your head…..”I can’t wear a mask, it won’t match anything that I have to wear”.

But now you can try to side-step the illness and look like a million bucks with these masks!

It appears you can choose between the words “OINK”, a skeleton, a pig snout, or the always popular Octomom lips!!!

If you stuff yourself full of marshmellow peeps this weekend and you can’t get off the couch until the middle of next week……make sure to tune into Oprah on Tuesday!!

The entire show will be dedicated to country music.  As you can see from the picture below it should be a big show with Sugarland, Darius Rucker, and Kenny Cheney!!

And is it a coincidence that all those artists will be in concert here locally?  We’ll see Darius at the Auburn High School PAC on May 2nd and Sugarland will be part of Kenny’s tour at Qwest Field on August 1st.

It’s been a rough week for Jessica Simpson.  The rumors going around are that she is no longer with her country record label Sony Nashville.  After a tough-go opening for the Rascal Flatts’ tour in which she forgot lyrics, cried on stage, and had a PR fiasco with her weight……her pictures and name have been removed from the Sony Nashville website. 

Jessica’s people say she was just on loan to the label for her country CD and that she is still very much a country artist.  We will have to wait and see what becomes of it all.

But to make matters worse…..Eminem’s new music video came out this week and pokes fun at a bunch of celebrities…..including Jessica!!

Take a peek at the following pictures from the video.  Eminem is dressed up as Jessica’s boyfriend Tony Romo and the woman playing Jessica hikes him a cheeseburger.  He throws it, Jessica catches it, then she eats it!!  Actually it’s more like inhales it!! 

Such a cruel, cruel world we live in!!

The latest word from the Michael Jackson camp is that he’s auctioning off over 2,000 items from his personal collection to raise money. 

Items include various sparkled gloves, glittery socks, a Rolls Royce, and a custom made Harley Davidson made for Michael.  But of the items I’ve seen so far this is the one that I would throw down a wad of Benjamin’s for…………….

Are you kidding me right now?  This is unbelievable!!  Right out of MJ’s art collection comes this beauty showing some of the most monumental subjects in history sporting a Michael Jackson approved glittery glove, and sunglasses to boot!!  I mean you obviously start with George Washington and Abe Lincoln when beginning to design this masterpiece.  Then you throw in Einstein for all his contributions to the world.  And for beauty you go with an image of the Mona Lisa.  But for the big finish the artist had to come up with one more glove and glasses wearing icon of our times.  Ah yes…….E.T. would be the logical answer that we all would probably come to agree on. 

OK, I’m not kidding here…..this bad boy is expected to fetch at LEAST $600!!  Is it just me or would this look excellent in my office?  Let’s just say that I may need to tell Little Mama that our tax return money got lost in the mail this year!
